How to reach Udupi from Bangalore
By road: NH75 and coastal highways, about 7–8 hours. Overnight trains to Udupi Railway Station are popular on weekends. Mangalore airport is the nearest flight option, then a 1-hour drive to Udupi.
Weekend plan
Day 1: Sri Krishna Matha and Malpe Beach. Day 2: Kapu lighthouse and Mattu/Ocean Café. See our 2-day Udupi itinerary for a full hour-by-hour outline.
